TypeNow.net is maintained by 3 (unpaid) guys:
Zaf - the founder, designer, promoter and content editor;
Azly - content editor and (almost worthless) programmer;
Mohsin - (almost useless) content editor.
TypeNow.net is the fruit of our labor. It has grown out of proportion
to become the most comprehensive website of its kind ever.
As you can expect, the sheer volume of the site content requires a lot
of work. And we do not work on the site full time. Two of us are schooling
full-time and working part-time and one of us is working full-time and
schooling part time.
We maintain this website out of passion. We do NOT want to be
paid for doing this. This is our hobby. However, as you might have heard,
bandwidth is expensive and so is the webhosting. For those of you who
does not know, TypeNow.net used to be known as Fonts-Now, hosted free
using Virtualave.net
freehosting.
Virtualave.net provides
fast servers needed for a download site such as this. As Fonts-Now increased
its popularity, its bandwidth usage also increased... to the extent
it exceeded the bandwidth limit. As a result, Virtualave.net
shut Fonts-Now down permanently, without warning and without back-up.
We learnt a very bitter lesson about bandwidth and freehosting services.
Nine months later, TypeNow.net was born. Far better than Fonts-Now,
it is also far more expensive. It has its own domain name and professional
hosting, thus no pop-ups. Although the bandwidth allocation is greater
than that of a freehosting server, it has its limit. Our host charges
a fee for every excess bandwidth usage. If we can't afford to pay, TypeNow.net
WILL BE SHUT DOWN.
Please help us prevent that from happening. We have come up with several
ways for you to help us. Choose from the options mentioned below.
